Vehicle Safety Inspection
In Ontario there are several circumstances where you need to have a current Vehicle Safety Inspection.
Are you new to the Province and are wanting to register your vehicle in Ontario?
Are you purchasing a new or new to you vehicle and are not sure of the rules?
From the Ontario Ministry of Transportation website you need a safety standard inspection and certificate if you are:
– registering a rebuilt vehicle
– transferring a used vehicle to a new owner (unless the new owner is your spouse)
– registering a vehicle in Ontario that was bought in or came from another province, territory or country
– changing the status of a vehicle from unfit to fit
